Adobo Seasoning Mix: Adobo is a traditional Mexican spice mix containing paprika, black pepper, onion pepper, oregano, cumin, hot chilies, and garlic powder. Magical uses include protection, banishing, or hex breaking. Combine half a jar of adobo seasoning mix with two cups of corn flour. Sprinkle around the outside of your home to get rid of negative energies.

Apple Pie Spice: A combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom, apple pie spice is the perfect mix for spicing things up with your partner! Dress a red candle in grape-seed or olive oil- avoiding the wick- and roll it in apple pie spice. Burn while spending time with your lover. Or sprinkle this mix over a self-lighting charcoal instead.

Cajun Seasoning Mix: Generally a blend of paprika, salt, black and white peppers, garlic, onion powder, thyme, and cayenne, Cajun seasoning is perfect for strong protection. Use this mix to form circles when doing important works. Sprinkle just a pinch in the hoes of someone who needs a little watching over.

Chili Powder: Made with salt, hot chilies, onion, oregano, and garlic, chili powder is great for keeping away illness. Leave out tiny bowls of chili powder- out of reach of pets and children- during cold and flu season to help ward off illness.

Chinese Five-Spice Powder: Chinese Five-Spice Powder is an amazing blend of star anise, fennel seed, cinnamon, hot peppers, cloves, ginger, and licorice root. This mix lends itself to several kinds of herbal magic, including love spells, spells for igniting passion, and even spells for retaining information.

Cinnamon Sugar: With sugar sweetening a person or situation and cinnamon speeding up a spell, the two work great together when you need to get someone on your side quickly. Serve cinnamon toast to someone who could use some convincing. Sprinkling a little of the mix where you know a person will walk might influence them to look more kindly on your situation.

Create four small cloth pouches, fill them with this blend, and hang one in each of the farthest corners of your home.

Pickling Spice: Pickling spice can contain a wide variety of herbs and spices, but most are a mix of mustard seed, coriander, black pepper, dill, fennel seed, celery seed, and bay leaf. This combination can be used for many different intents, such as protection from ghosts or luck, lust, and wish magic.

Pumpkin Pie Spice: Pumpkin pie spice is one of my all-time favorite blends. I usually carry a small container of this mixture of cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, and allspice in my on-the-go kit to add to almost any spell to “speed it up.” It’s also a great blend for business ventures, money draw, and simple healing spells.

You close your eyes as you clear your hands of all but the golden metal and rise. Slowly, yet firmly, you draw it back within your arm as your energy channels into the catalyst. It vibrates in your hand, yearning to be free- to penetrate. She has spotted your figure, but she cannot comprehend the situation- an action thus deserving a reaction.

The tree explodes with life as the spear finally reaches its prime magnetization. Like a bullet heated to a flame, its head pierces through the grass and trees separating you from her as it slices through the very sound barrier itself as it screams through its glorious, shining passage.

In the split second that it takes the catalystic spear to travel through the air, you vanish.

Something flies toward you, fast enough to give a shrill whine as it flies.

Instinct saves your life once more as you duck away, scooting backward and releasing a sharp yelp that mimics your Momma’s call more than you’ve heard from your mouth before.

The spear embeds itself in the torn body of your Prey, through it’s ripped-open ribcage, and you land on your hind end away from it.

And then it’s still. Silent.

The shock of the act has silenced the churning of your guts, and calmed your blood. Even though it still feels as if your heart is yearning to burst through your torso, you have half a mind to think in coherent tones, at least.

You can only sit and stare at the weapon protruding from your meal.

And you are acutely aware of the sticky blood drying to your skin.

“What the fuck.”

A few pops ring out as you crack your neck as the chaos ensues a safe distance away from you. There was quite a lot of blood- which was admittedly rather distasteful under normal circumstances, but this was at the very least a unique opportunity. The shadows of the foliage above twist and contort themselves as she feasts. You set the rifle down and pause as a branch comes before your eyes. A question pops into your head.

Did you enjoy watching this violence?

You figure that you enjoy it as one enjoys looking at documentaries on the internet, or perhaps as one enjoys dissecting a cat. You weren’t explicitly watching it for pleasure, but rather for gain. For knowledge- yes. For information. An appropriate time to strike.

The gold in your other hand glistens as the branch lifts back up defiantly against the wind, revealing a beam of sunlight in its well-crafted reflection. The moment would arrive soon, Elliot. You were simply no match for the surprise you were about to encounter.

You remove your shirt and store it in your sylladex.

You snort and snarl and huff as you shove your face into the wet wound of your Prey, yanking out pieces of muscle and clumped veins and swallowing them whole, your hunger preventing you from taking the time to chew. Only taking a few moments to hack wetly and spit out a few clumped pieces of wet fur.

You haven’t had a good, hot meal in so long, you keep this one to yourself, naked form hunched over the torn body like it was a clump of fine jewelry, and you are the dragon that protects it.

The brittle bones break between your green-soaked hands, bringing them up to your mouth to gnaw on them vigorously, sucking out the marrow and scraping your teeth along the surface.

A broken piece of the beast’s rib sticks out of your mouth as you whip your head towards the beam of sunlight. You hiss at it in instinct, baring your gore-covered teeth and squinting your eyes, broken bone dropping from your mouth.

You studied her as if she were an animal.

You knew deep down that she was (in a way), which was partially what made the scene so wonderfully embracing to your demeanor. The scope marked up against your rough, tan skin with its black and worn rubber. You had the perfect vantage point, completely minimalizing any chance of being seen by her.

But could she feel you?

Not yet- at least it was very doubtful at the moment. At the most, she would feel a presence within the breeze. A small, faint sense of either familiarity or hostility- she’d never be able to differentiate within her current occupations. Your presence, although noted, was minimal and ambiguous. Of course, morally you knew that your intentions were sound and pure- although hilariously questionable. It didn’t matter.

You smiled, your scope still following her.

Besides, Shale wouldn’t say anything.

Your heart pounds in your ears, a deep rhythm that beats to the very marrow of your bones, meshing with your squishy veins and thick skin, to the still and frozen joints of your limbs.

You see Prey. Right in front of you.

A lowly beast, a scavenger feasting on the crops and animals you have claimed as your own. One of the wolfbeasts, broken away from it’s pack, for unknown reasons.

Your heart pounds in your ears.

The beast freezes, lifting it’s head. From your spot in the brush, hidden under thorns and twigs, you see the beast’s lips curl away from it’s mouth, baring teeth in defiance.

And you strike.

Kicking up dirt and gravel and root, you are pulled down to all fours, like the animal you are hunting, face curled and peeled back in a look of pure feral intent, eyes as red as your blood and teeth bared in a vicious roar of anger.

The beast has no chance to defend itself when you leap onto it, wrestling a moment as it struggles to fight, struggles and yipes and snarls at you, and you snarl and bite and claw at it’s face, snapping your teeth shut over it’s furred neck, shaking the poor thing like a rag-doll.

The beast grows limp, tries to vain to reach around and snap at your face, and you bite down savagely, green blood splattering your skin.

And you feast, even as the animal takes it’s last, painful breath.

He had to think of something clever to say…But he was drawing a blank.

“Ahaha…,” he says as he tries to collect himself for the third time today, ” Dis is cheatin’.”

“Dis is kissin’,” you drawl, purposefully mimicking his accent. You rub the pad of your thumb along his jaw, trailing both hands down his neck, over the delicate flesh of his gills, and resting your hands on his shoulders, idly licking the excess drool from the corners of your mouth.

“I thought you wanted to court me, anyway. Gettin’ cold feet?”

Your attention is drawn to his neck, and you gently nudge his head to the side to focus on the newly-healed flesh near the slits of his gills, squinting your eyes to study the area.

“These healed nicely, did you use the ointment I gave you?”

You will need:
One piece of parchment or paper
One green thread
One white candle
Peace
Green ink
Bowl of water

Sit in the quiet, with the lit white candle. Gaze into the flame and say:
“Fire my spirit, fire my mind.
Give me ideas, open my eyes.”

Take the ink and parchment and put into words what you are trying to achieve or accomplish. Tie it with the green thread and burn it with the candle (be careful and put it out before it burns you, having a little bowl of water handy -like that on your altar- would be wise.)

Meditate on it for as long as you’re comfortable with chanting: “fire my spirit, fire my mind. Give me an idea, open my eye.”

Let the inspiration flow!
